Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1987. Graduated from the Doctoral course in Graduate School of Security Studies, National Defense Academy. Doctor of Security Studies (The National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education). Served as a Special Researcher at the Graduate School of Security Studies, National Defense Academy, and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Surugadai University before assuming the current position.
Major publications include: “The ‘Individualized’ Authoritarian Regime: Conditions for Invasion Decisions and Regime Change” (Akashi Shoten, 2023), “Digital Authoritarianism: How Technology Transforms the ‘Form’ of Dictatorship” (edited, Fuyo Shobo Publishing, 2024), The US-China Rivalry and the Future of the International Order: Intersecting Worlds and Regions (co-edited, Toshinodo, 2024), and When Dictatorships Waver: Comparative Politics of Personalist Regimes (Minerva Shobo, 2020).
