He received his Ph.D. in Science in 2017 from the Department of Earth and Planetary Science, Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo. Subsequently, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute, The University of Tokyo, and the University of Bordeaux in France. He then became a Project Assistant Professor at Komaba Institute for Science, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The University of Tokyo. He currently holds his present position.
